Social Security is sending new Disability Benefits in days
One of the great advantages of collecting a Social Security check each month is that we can know when it will arrive in our bank account. The United States Government sends these checks to both Disability beneficiaries and other retirees. It all depends on which group of retirees you belong to.
Although many Americans think that Disability benefit payments are different from retirement payments, they are the same. They do have different maximum payments and different requirements.
But, at the end of the day, the check for both benefits falls under the Social Security retirement category. Therefore, if we meet the requirements we will get the next Social Security payment, but also any other benefits.
For the next day’s Social Security disability payment we must meet two requirements. If we meet them, the check will arrive in our checking account very soon. If not, we will have to take a good look at the remaining March payday requirements.
Which groups with a disability get the new payment?
Only one specific group of Americans will get the new Social Security Disability payment in the next week. The payment day will be on March 20th, 2024 and the check has several requirements.
In order to collect this new payment, it is necessary to have applied for Social Security benefits since after 1997. It is also necessary to have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month. With these requirements, the Administration will send us the payment on the 20th of March 20th.
However, it is not necessary to have a disability benefit to get the payment. Likewise, if we want to get the check immediately we will need to have Direct Deposit activated. Otherwise, the payment will arrive within days of mailing.
One more Social Security payment in March
After the March 20th payment, the Social Security Administration will send another payment to disability retirees this month. The last payment of the month’s payment will be on the 27th and will be only for retirees with two requirements met:
- Have had the benefit since after 1997.
- Have reached their birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month.
With these requirements fulfilled, we will be able to get the check on the 27th day of the month. As with the payment on the 20th day of the month, it does not matter what type of benefit you collect or anything like that. It is only important to have a disability or other payment and meet the above requirements.
