United States Government will send a new Social Security check in April
Social Security payments arrive each month to beneficiaries on different days. The United States Administration that sends these types of benefits always announces the schedule of these payments in advance. In this sense, it is possible to get the payment on the days marked in this payment schedule.
Even so, it is true that sometimes there are exceptions, but Social Security payments usually follow a fixed schedule. If we know the schedule, we will have no problem organizing our household finances. This is undoubtedly a great advantage for retirees in the United States.
Now that we are very close to April and the Administration has already sent the retirement payment to half of the groups in the United States, we can take a look at the new schedule. The payment days will be 4, as usual, to which we must add a fifth day.
This fifth day is not Social Security as such, but Supplemental Security Income. Although this check is supplemental, the beneficiaries do not have to have a mandatory retirement. How many checks do you collect from SSA per month?
April 2024 Social Security Payments Schedule
Thousands and thousands of dollars will be leaving Social Security offices to retirement beneficiaries in April 2024. In all, the Administration will send checks to retirees on four different days. In addition to that, Supplemental Security Income will also reach its beneficiaries.
These will be the April 2024 Social Security payment days:
- April 1st. Supplemental Security Income payments.
- April 3rd. Pre-1997 retirees get this payment.
- April 10th. To get this payment, you must have your birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month. In addition, it is also mandatory to have the benefit since after 1997.
- April 17th. To get this payment, you must reach your birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month. In addition, it is also mandatory to have the benefit since after 1997.
- April 24th. To get this payment, you must reach your birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month. In addition, it is also mandatory to have the benefit since after 1997.
Now we can mark the calendar day on which we will get this payment. However, in order to be able to collect Social Security on the same day we need to activate Direct Deposit. If we do not do so, we will not get the money immediately, but the payment will appear a few days later in our current account.
