Disability Benefits could still arrive in March
The United States disability payment has already reached thousands of American households. However, the Social Security Administration will still send out new payments before the end of March. That is why it is so important to know the schedule of remaining payments for this group of retirees.
In the event that we have not yet received this benefit we will need to check what the requirements are in order to get one of the next two disability checks. In total, the Administration will send during the days of March 4 different payments and there are still two that have not been sent.
So if you are part of group 3 and 4 disability retirees you could get your payment in the next few weeks. Pay attention to the requirements because they are very important to determine if we will have access to this check or not.
Remaining Disability Payments for March 2024
There are two other payments, as we have previously discussed, so if we have not yet received the disability benefit it is possible that we will get it very soon. These two payments will arrive on the 20th and 27th of the month.
Each of these collection days has different requirements. Here are those conditions for getting your next Social Security check:
- March 20th. You must be between the 11th and 20th of the month, as well as have been receiving benefits since after 1997.
- March 27th. To get the payment on this day, you must have your birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month. In addition, it is also necessary to have a disability payment since after May 1997.
Remember that without Direct Deposit we will not be able to get the payment on the day of sending. If we do not activate this collection method, the disability payment will appear in our current account a few days later.
Can I change the day I get Social Security?
Thousands of United States citizens wonder if it is possible to change the day they get their Social Security payment. The truth is that it is not. Disability payments arrive on the days allotted at the time you apply for retirement.
At the end of the day, if we look at the requirements for collecting a check earlier or later, we can see that it depends on personal information. That is, on the one hand, the year of retirement determines the day of collection. On the other hand, the birthday also determines whether we collect earlier or later.
Since that personal information cannot be changed it is impossible to collect the payment on a different day. So once we start getting the disability payment, with some exceptions, we will always have the money available on the same date of the month.
