If you meet the requirements you will get one of the Social Security checks on February 28
The Social Security Administration’s payment schedule comes to an end very soon in the month of February. The same payment schedule for March is about to begin. For that reason, the last of the February payments will be coming out soon from the offices of the United States Administration.
In case you already have February’s check in your checking account, you won’t get a new one until March. But if you have not yet received this current month’s Social Security check, you should be able to get it in the next few days. The mailing day will be February 28th and only one group can get a check.
To reach this group we must meet two mandatory requirements. Similarly, if we want the Social Security immediately on the same day it is mandatory to activate a particular collection method. This collection method is not mandatory, but essential to collect the check as soon as possible.
Who gets $4,873 in Social Security on February 28th?
As we have already discussed, there are several requirements to get the new Social Security payment. Two of these requirements are mandatory. The other requirement is not mandatory, but it is key to getting the retirement benefit on the same day of mailing.
In this regard, therefore, we must meet the following three requirements, with the third being the optional requirement:
- Have a Social Security benefit since after May 1997. The month of May is also included.
- Be born between the 21st and 31st of any month. Neither the month nor the year of birth is important. What is important in these cases is the exact day of birth.
- Activate Direct Deposit as a collection method. This third requirement is optional, but it is the key to be able to get the money instantly on the 28th of February.
If you meet these three requirements, the money will appear in your current account on February 28th. If you only meet the first two requirements, the Social Security Administration will send the check on this day and you will get it a few days later.
Be that as it may, the maximum payment in 2024 is $4,873 for all categories. Therefore, you won’t be able to collect a check larger than that on the 28th day of February. You could still get another extra payment on the 1st of March 1st if you have Supplemental Security Income.
