“Row crop markets traded impressively higher overnight, but were unable to hold the gains as we went through the day session,” says the Commstock Report. “Weekly export sales were okay at best but not enough to impress the trade, and there were no additional flash sales today.

“After yesterday’s trade in the soybeans hurdled some significant technical resistance there was hope we would see some follow through buying today. That was not the case, although no damage is really done unless the May and November contracts fall back below the 50-day moving averages. Corn isn’t too far behind, with the May flirting with the 50-day moving average at $4.42.

“Ultimately to finish the session in the green was a win and after yesterday’s trade, keeps the soybeans in the lead as we look to finish the week on a positive note.”
