Free-agent frenzy, trade market shake it up

by admin

The annual NFL shake-up has begun as teams have been allowed to negotiate with free agents since Monday, March 11. Players can officially sign starting Wednesday, March 13, at 4 p.m. ET.

Some big names are on the move, be it through free agency or the trade market.

RB Derrick Henry is headed to the New England Patriots. RB Saquon Barkley will join the Philadelphia Eagles. While the New York Giants lost Barkley, they acquired EDGE Brian Burns from the Carolina Panthers.

QB Kirk Cousins will take over the Atlanta Falcons offense after a 6-season stint with the Minnesota Vikings. QB Russell Wilson agreed to a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers after 2 seasons in Denver, and QB Baker Mayfield is staying in Tampa with the Buccaneers.

The Las Vegas Raiders added DT Christian Wilkins from the Miami Dolphins and QB Gardner Minshew, formerly of the Indianapolis Colts.

The Cleveland Browns acquired WR Jerry Jeudy from the Denver Broncos. QB Mac Jones was dealt by the Patriots to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The list keeps growing as these are just a few of the moves that have taken place since Monday. For more news, follow USA TODAY’s NFL coverage.

Meanwhile, here are the 2025 Super Bowl futures odds for all 32 NFL teams — slated for Feb. 9 in New Orleans at the Caesars Superdome.
