For the fifth straight year, Forbes is ranking the nation’s top insurance companies. These rankings, created in partnership with market research firm Statista, are derived from surveying more than 18,000 people across the United States who reported having an insurance policy in at least one of five categories: homeowners, renters, auto, permanent life or term life.
Much like our process for determining last year’s list, survey respondents were asked whether they were satisfied with their insurance company and would recommend it to others. Participants also rated their insurance providers on such criteria as the guidance agents offered, customer service, cost, company transparency, digital services and claims service. Ratings in each insurance category are combined into a score, and the companies with the highest scores make our rankings. (The list lengths vary for each insurance type because each list is dependent on the number of evaluations collected, the final score and the size of that insurance market.)
The result: A total of 97 insurance companies will be ranked in at least one of the five types of insurance mentioned above and recognized on our upcoming list of America’s Best Insurance Companies 2025.
Check back on September 24, when the rankings will be unveiled.
As with all Forbes lists, companies pay no fee to participate or be selected. Find additional information about how we create this list and our employer lists here. For questions about this list, please email listdesk [at] forbes.com.
